A PROVEN PROCESS TO FIND YOUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

We work closely with our clients’ board of directors and executive management. Our search process encompasses these key steps in the search process:

1. UNDERSTAND THE ORGANIZATION AND OPEN POSITION

 

After interviews with the search committee and other key stakeholders, we share with the client insights gleaned about the position and client organization. These are included in the executive position profile, which is a client-approved marketing document sent to potential candidates and referral sources.

 

The position profile highlights, in a compelling way, the job description as well as the client organization and the candidates requirements.

2. FIND THE RIGHT SLATE OF CANDIDATES

Identity and Interview

We start with an expanded search, reaching out to and interviewing candidates at a national and regional level.

 

Vetting

From that broad list of applicants, we develop a compelling candidate slate that includes written assessments. We outline similarities and differences in each executive’s career highlights and we summarize their approach to leadership.

 

Interviewing

Depending on our clients' preferences, we can be very involved in the selection process. Services include the development of an interview strategy, questions, and an evaluation system.  We can also closely advise in developing the offer for the successful candidate.

 

All of this work is completed on a timeline agreed upon with the client, including regularly scheduled updates throughout the search.

3. LAY THE GROUNDWORK FOR THE CANDIDATE'S SUCCESS

 

We do not feel our work is completed when the successful candidate begins the position. 

We continue to work with our clients and candidates to ensure a smooth transition. This is the first step to preparing the placed executive for long-term success with the organization.

 

We guarantee our searches for 12 months from the successful candidate’s start date.

If the candidate resigns or is terminated during this period, we will re-initiate the search without charging additional professional fees.
